MISION VISION
Mision Vision was a creative workshop funded by the Ministry of Culture in 2008. Fernando Arias and Elkin Calderon worked with fifteen artists in the city of Armenia to improve their skills with audiovisual technology, exploring a theme 'the city as a living organism'.
The idea of the city as a living organism served as a departure point for the artists to investigate their lives in relation to the city. By drawing parallels between how the body functions on a microscopic level with the dynamics and organisation of the city, they used video and sound to explore their ideas. The project formed part of MICROmacro l, with selected videos projected during the regional salon.
