Misión-Visión was a creative workshop directed by Fernando Arias and Elkin Calderón. Artists from the Eje Cafetero were trained in the use of audiovisual technologies by exploring the theme of “the city as a living organism”.

The purpose of the workshop was to learn how to use video as an artistic tool, taking as a point of reference the city as a living organism: the way the human body works at a micro level is analogous to the dynamics that govern the organisation of a city. On this basis, Misión-Visión used the video to reveal the intimate relationship that is established day by day between the artist and the city.

Selected videos were incorporated into MicroMACRO, XIII SALON REGIONAL DE ARTE 2009.
